MelliNights privacy policy

Publisher: WeCareAboutYou · Updated 26 October 2026 · Google Play name: MelliNights · Package: com.mellitinexus.mellinights

MelliNights provides bedtime stories and family routine tools for adult parents and caregivers. Contact contact@mellitinexus.com about privacy, support or data removal. Feature availability differs between testing builds; this notice does not mean every service has passed release acceptance.

Information you provide

The features you choose can process account name, email, account ID and preferences; child names or nicknames, ages, optional profile photos, bedtime and story preferences; story themes, moods, toys, details from the day, learning topics and other prompts; generated or saved stories, narration, favourites and library activity; sleep times, duration, quality, mood reflections and notes; and an invited adult's email and selected family records. Community features can process posts, comments, reactions and optional images. Avoid unnecessary identifying, health or other sensitive details.

Subscription processing uses product and transaction identifiers, receipts, entitlement and expiry information. Google Play or Apple handles payment-card details; the app does not receive those card details.

How information is used

Information supports account access, story personalisation, saved content, family routines, optional sharing, purchase verification, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and support. The reviewed app has no advertising SDK and does not sell personal information or use an advertising identifier to track activity across other companies' apps and websites.

AI processing and service providers

When you request a personalised story, illustration or narration, relevant choices and text can be sent through the backend to the configured AI provider. This can include a child name or nickname, personalisation, a previous story you continue, generated text and narration text. The app asks for AI-processing consent before first use. Declining stops features that require that processing. Withdrawing the locally saved consent in Settings causes the notice to appear again; it does not erase a request already sent.

Services used by supported features can include Supabase for authentication, databases, media storage and server functions; OpenAI for story, image or narration generation; Google Gemini for image generation; Resend for invitation email; Apple and Google Play for purchases; and delivery services for fonts or animations. Provider configuration and availability vary. Those services can process request, connection and operational metadata and can process information outside your country under their own privacy and retention terms. No zero-retention or universal immediate-erasure promise is made.

Photos, device storage and permissions

Image selection is optional and reads the image you choose, rather than scanning your photo library. Selecting a supported profile photo starts its upload to configured storage; saving the profile records its reference. Local preferences, downloaded stories and media can remain on the device until removed. Notification permission, where used, is optional; an in-app notice is separate from an operating-system push or reminder.

Private photo access uses access checks and temporary signed links. A link already issued can remain usable until its expiry, currently up to one hour in the reviewed photo flow. Removing access cannot recall copies already downloaded or shared. Some audio resources in the current testing service use public URLs, so possession of a link can permit access while the resource remains available. Do not treat a media URL as an end-to-end encrypted private message.

Optional family and community sharing

An adult can invite another adult and choose supported child profiles and related records to share. Accepted access is controlled by the current relationship and selections. Revocation stops future authorized server access but cannot erase copies the recipient already retained. Invitation delivery and device synchronization depend on the available services. Use sharing only when you have authority to disclose the information.

Community posts and comments, where available, can be visible to other members. Do not publish private child details, contact information, precise locations or sensitive family records. Sharing a story or other content outside the app gives it to the destination you choose, whose practices and retention are separate.

Retention and deletion

Account and synchronized records are retained while used or needed to provide the service. Local preferences and downloaded content are separate from server records. Provider backups, security logs and transaction or legally required records can have separate retention. No fixed universal retention period is claimed here.

You can edit or remove supported records and request account deletion through Settings → Delete Account. This asks the backend to remove the authenticated account and its supported records; a failure must be resolved rather than treated as successful erasure. You can also use the public account and data deletion request page. Ownership and the intended scope must be verified. The request page does not automatically delete an account. Clearing app storage or signing out does not by itself delete hosted records, exported files or another person's copies.

Deleting an app account does not cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the Google Play or Apple account used to purchase them. Support can also receive requests to access or correct information, withdraw optional processing, or discuss applicable privacy rights.

Audience and security

Accounts are for adults managing family routines; children should not create accounts independently. An adult controls what child information is supplied and must have authority to provide it. Use nicknames when possible. Sleep and mood tools are general routine and wellness features, not diagnosis, treatment, clinical recommendations or emergency assistance.

The service uses access controls and encrypted network connections. These do not prevent every misuse or erase previously copied information. Protect your device and credentials. Material policy changes will be reflected in the updated date and communicated through an appropriate app or service channel.
